Hydraulic testing
These test methods are applicable to components that transport or use fluids for their operation, subject to temperature variations and mechanical and pressure stresses.
The purpose of the tests is to verify the resistance of these components and the absence of leakage when subjected to extreme operating conditions.
Fields of application: industrial plants, automotive, aeronautical and naval sectors.
Test objects: pipes, fittings, filters, radiators, pumps, etc.
Fluids used: air, nitrogen, water, coolant, oil, skydrol.
The main test consists of generating a series of hydraulic pulses with different profiles: trapezoidal, sinusoidal, triangular or according to a profile defined by the customer.
Pulsation tests are often combined with mechanical/vibrational and thermal stresses (fluid and test environment).
List of tests in Texa:
- cyclic pressure in temperature
- pulse in temperature
- fluid circulation at temperature
- proof test under pressure
- burst test (burst test up to 2,000 bar)
- pressure drop measurement
- flexure test (with stress measurement)
- combined temperature, vibration and cyclic or impulse pressure test
